Adam, jeune comédien, déménage de New York à Los Angeles en quête de succès dans le monde du cinéma. Il partage son appartement avec sa meilleure amie, Candy, une femme loufoque qui passe son temps entre le shopping et la recherche d’un bon parti.

Tiré du roman homonyme d’Andy Zeffer, ce film raconte la descente aux enfers et la survie d’un jeune comédien dans la terre des rêves et des illusions. Un film léger, hilarant et par moments triste avec des personnages attachants. Un film tout compte fait optimiste où l’on passe un très bon moment.

Casper Andreas est d’origine suédoise. Il a vécu à Chicago et à Paris avant de choisir New York pour faire ses études de théâtre et de cinéma. Il habite actuellement New York City ou il écrit, réalise et joue dans ses films, produits par sa société Embrem Entertainment. « Going Down In LA-LA Land » a gagné plusieurs prix aux Etats Unis. C’est son sixième long métrage.

Adam is a young actor who moves from New York to Los Angeles seeking fame like many before him, in the world of cinema.  He shares the apartment of his zany best friend Candy, who divides her days between shopping and looking for the right man.

Taken from the Andy Zeffer novel of the same name, the film shows us the young actor’s descent into the depths and finally his survival in this land of dreams and illusions.  It’s an enjoyable, optimistic film, at times both sad and hilarious.  As always with a Casper Andreas film, there is a large cast of engaging characters who are well served by an excellent script .

This is the first time this film will be seen in France.
